Oscar Nominations 2019 – The Complete List

The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) has announced the complete list of 91st Oscars nominees and “Roma” and “The Favourite” led the list with 10 nominations each including the nomination for best picture. Other films that managed to secure a nomination for best picture are “A Star Is Born”, “Black Panther”, “BlacKkKlansman”, “Bohemian Rhapsody”, “Green Book” and “Vice”.

Christian Bale is once again nominated as Best Actor for playing the role of a former Vice President of USA, Dick Cheney in the film “Vice”. Other actors who managed to secure a spot in the same category are Bradley Cooper (A Star Is Born), Rami Malek (Bohemian Rhapsody), Viggo Mortensen (Green Book) and Willem Dafoe (At Eternity’s Gate).

Lady Gaga gets her first nomination for her acting skills in “A Star Is Born” while Glenn Close gets nominated for the seventh time for her performance in “The Wife”. Their competitors include Melissa McCarthy (Can You Ever Forgive Me?), Olivia Colman (The Favourite), and Yalitza Aparicio (Roma).

Kumail Nanjiani and Tracee Ellis Ross announced the nominees for all 24 categories on 22nd Jan. The Academy Awards/Oscars will air live on 24th Feb, 2019 on ABC at 5 P.M. PT / 8 P.M. ET.
